New Jersey State Steering Committee is a state mechanism of New Jersey State Division of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (“NCNW”).  This state mechanism was created by NCNW as a way to ensure that National’s policies and procedures were executed at the local Section level and that Sections operated within the guidelines set by National Headquarters.  The state mechanism is a liaison between local Sections and National Headquarters in the dissemination of information regarding NCNW programs and initiatives.
